Greetings! I have a passion for writing that was fostered in the rural community in which I grew up. Surrounded by farms, fields and forests, I had many adventures exploring nature and its surroundings. From my youth, I knew I wanted to write, although I did not know what, how, or when it would evolve.
Hence, I was drawn to focusing upon literature, writing, research and analysis when I attended college. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern Maine with a BA in English and a minor in writing. In the midst of my studies, I had the opportunity to study abroad at Kingston University in England. While I was there, I toured London and went on a couple of bus tours. I soon realized traveling is a wonderful way to expand one’s experiences and provides material for writing.
Subsequently, people have approached me for editing and writing in various facets. At this juncture in my life, I am placing a greater focus upon the written word: books I read to learn something or simply for pleasure, and using my pen as a divining rod to channel my thoughts upon paper. In this age of technology, I certainly use my laptop keyboard to write, and sometimes find an idea takes more time to develop. However, writing upon paper causes one to tap into creativity from a greater source, like a maple tree when sap is running. I look forward to sharing an exchange of ideas and nurturing the desire to write and delving into a well where imagination runs deep and true.
